Description
Glycerophosphate (synonym: Ξ±-glycerophosphat; glycerol-3-phosphate; C3H9O6P) is an organophosphate and it is a component of glycerophospholipids. Glycerophosphate dehydrogenase oxidizes glycerophosphate to dihydroxyacetone phosphate. See also [Glycerol phosphate shuttle].
