:::: For high-resolution respirometry, we only have experience with the cytochrome ''c'' listed on the Bioblast page. For different reasons, we think that it should not be any problem to use cytochrome ''c'' from bovine heart. First, cytochrome ''c'' is a highly conserved protein across different species, and second, Sigma Aldrich provides the same specifications for C7752 (cytochrome ''c'' from equine heart) and C2037 (cytochrome ''c'' from bovine heart). | :::: For high-resolution respirometry, we only have experience with the cytochrome ''c'' listed on the Bioblast page. Question
- Cytochrome c (from equine heart) from Sigma Aldrich used in high-resolution respirometry to test the integrity of the mitochondrial outer membrane is currently out of stock for the few months. Does anyone have experience using cytochrome c from another source (e.g. from bovine heart)?

- For high-resolution respirometry, we only have experience with the cytochrome c listed on the Bioblast page. For different reasons, we think that it should not be any problem to use cytochrome c from bovine heart. First, cytochrome c is a highly conserved protein across different species, and second, Sigma Aldrich provides the same specifications for C7752 (cytochrome c from equine heart) and C2037 (cytochrome c from bovine heart).
