Circular 2022-04-14: Abstract and manuscript submission updates: Bioblast 2022 - BEC Inaugural Conference

Bioblast2022 logo.png
Dear Colleague,
We would like to share with you updates regarding the Bioblast 2022: BEC Inaugural Conference abstract and BEC manuscript submissions. With the uncertainties caused by COVID-19, we had a late start to our planning of Bioblast 2022 resulting in tight and ambitious timings for publication of a printed BEC Inaugural Issue in time for the event. We thank those of you who have already submitted your manuscripts and abstracts as well as agreeing to serve as editors for the inaugural issue. To alleviate some pressure from all parties, we have updated the submission timeline:
  • Abstracts (for all presentation types) can be submitted until May 15th
  • BEC submissions are to be received in time for publishing online in 2022 (and yes, this does mean submissions can be made after Bioblast 2022).
  • Bioblast 2022: Innsbruck, Austria, June 28 - July 1
We hope with the extended timeline, you may consider submitting an abstract and/or manuscript.
Additionally, we have added a new possibility for oral presentations – a “flash” 5-minute poster talk. As previously announced, preference for “long” oral presentations (10 + 5 format) will still be given to those with contributions to the inaugural issue.
For those who are still interested in an oral or poster presentation, but did not submit due to time constraints, please email abstracts to [email protected] indicating your presentation preference type and fill out the registration form.
Further information including the format for abstracts can be found here.
We look forward to welcoming you in Innsbruck.
Kind regards,
Erich and the BEC Editorial Team
