Abstract: For most of us in biomedical fields, the idea of a preprint server is novel. Such servers, and there are many, are open access repositories of manuscripts that have yet to be published in traditional peer-reviewed journals; they exist to further research by getting results out quickly and allowing feedback from those interested in that work.
