Boltzmann constant

Description

Table Physical constants.png

The Boltzmann constant k has the SI unit [J路K-1] (IUPAC), but more strictly the units for energy per particles per temperature is [J路x-1路K-1].

k = fe-1, the electrochemical constant f times the elementary charge e.

k = RNA-1, the gas constant R divided by the Avogadro constant NA.

Abbreviation: k [J路x-1路K-1]
